Independent Contractor Opportunities
Use your relevant professional experience in remote independent-Contractor opportunities built around clearly defined work, professional expectations, and voluntary Assignment acceptance. See the category-specific qualification standards below.
TVS works with independent Contractors, not employees. Contractors may accept or decline individual Assignment opportunities. Application or approval does not guarantee Assignments, hours, income, continued opportunities, or a particular Facility.
Prelaunch information: Eligible applicants may submit the existing application for future consideration. The Founder will review and maintain submissions and may request clarification. Formal contractor engagement, onboarding and assignments will not begin before the applicable business, legal and operational requirements are satisfied. Applying does not guarantee approval, work, hours or income.
Standard Qualification
Coral and Purple positions require at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in veterinary or animal-care operations, or human healthcare or human medical operations, when the prior duties support the position or specialty. Role-specific competencies must be demonstrated separately. Turquoise and Green retain their veterinary-specific requirements and applicable controlled pathways.
Documented role-specific exceptions may be considered where applicable. Relevant human-healthcare experience meeting the Coral or Purple standard is not an exception. Standalone Purple language support does not require approval for Coral, Turquoise, or Green.
Current Residence Restrictions
TVS is not currently recruiting Contractors residing in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington.

Actual compensation depends on the role, qualifications, Assignment scope, applicable requirements, and approved specialty responsibilities. Compensation is disclosed before a Contractor decides whether to accept an Assignment.
Approved Language-Support Add-On
A qualified Contractor who is formally assigned approved language-support responsibilities in addition to a primary Coral, Turquoise, or Green Assignment receives the normal primary-role compensation plus $1.00 for each documented approved language-support hour.
Simply speaking another language does not automatically activate the add-on. The language-support responsibility must be formally assigned as part of the accepted Assignment scope.
Other approved non-language Purple add-on responsibilities remain +$0.50 per approved hour.
Planned Contractor Process
The stages below describe the intended future process. Submitting an application during prelaunch does not activate the later approval, onboarding or matching stages.
1. Apply
Submit the Contractor Application with the required experience, résumé, references, readiness information, and scenario responses.
2. Qualification Review
TVS reviews experience, qualifications, and current eligibility for the role.
3. Assessments & Verification
Qualified applicants may be invited to complete additional role-specific competency, readiness, credential, or qualification assessments.
4. Approved Contractor Pool
Applicants who meet the applicable requirements may be approved for specific roles. Approval does not guarantee Assignments, hours, or income.
5. Matching Opportunities
When a Facility has an approved need, TVS reviews qualified Contractors and identifies the people who appear to be the strongest potential fit based on the role and duties requested, relevant experience and qualifications, Contractor interest and availability, the Facility’s requested hours or coverage needs, systems and technology, and other Assignment requirements.
TVS selects the qualified Contractor or Contractors it considers appropriate proposed matches and may present one Contractor or multiple selected Contractors. A competitive multi-candidate process is not required. The Facility may review the proposed match and provide feedback and must agree to proceed. Contractor voluntary acceptance, documented scope and setup, and TVS’s final Assignment approval remain required.
The Contractor remains free to accept or decline the specific Assignment. A Facility preference does not create an Assignment by itself; the scope and terms must be documented and TVS must provide final Assignment approval before work begins.
Professional Expectations
TVS Contractors may interact directly with Facility teams and clients. Professional communication, confidentiality, secure system use, appropriate equipment, attention during accepted live coverage, good judgment, and appropriate escalation are expected.
Remote Readiness
Contractors should have reliable internet, an appropriate computer, a private workspace, a professional headset, webcam capability where applicable, and the ability to handle Facility systems and confidential information securely.
